# Studio: Remix

> Learn how to dub, translate, script-remix, and split screens for reaction or gameplay videos.

The **Remix** tab is designed for editing and adapting existing video files or links. It excels at three primary use cases:

1. **Automated Translation & Dubbing:** Translating the speech in a video to another language.
2. **Script-based Remixing:** Replacing the original voiceover with a custom narration script.
3. **Split Screen Production:** Laying two videos side-by-side or stacked vertically (e.g. for reaction videos or gameplay overlays).

## 📥 Step 1: Input & Basic Settings

* **Input Type:** Choose **Video link** (pastes a URL from YouTube, Facebook, or TikTok) or **Video file** (upload a local file).
* **Filters & Effects:** Apply visual filters and audio equalization presets.
* **Volume:** Adjust the volume of the original track.
* **Dim Screen:** Toggle screen dimming to overlay texts cleanly.

## 🎙️ Step 2: Translation & Dubbing (Voice Cloning)

By checking **Translate videos**, you activate nQivi's automated translation engine.

* **Target Language:** Select one or more target languages.
* **TTS Engine & Voice:** Choose which TTS engine (Gemini, ElevenLabs, MiniMax, EdgeTTS) and specific speaker profile will perform the new voiceover.
* **Dubbing Pacing Modes:**
  * **Uniform Ratio (Keep Duration):** Scales the entire translated voiceover by a single factor to fit the original video's length.
  * **Segment Match (Keep Duration):** Breaks the speech into segments and speeds up/slows down each segment independently to sync with original visuals precisely.

### 📝 Using a Custom Script or Custom Audio

Instead of translating the original speech, you can replace it entirely:

* **Use my script:** Check this box to type or paste a custom script. The original speech will be replaced with a synthesized reading of your new text.
* **Use custom audio:** Check this to overlay an uploaded audio file (e.g. your own pre-recorded microphone recording).

## 📱 Step 3: Split Screens (Dual Layouts)

Perfect for reaction videos, gameplay narration, or TikTok split-screens.

1. Check **Use split screen**.
2. **Aspect ratio:** Set to **9:16 Portrait** for mobile platforms.
3. **Second Video Input:** Upload a local file or paste a link (e.g. a Minecraft parkour video or ASMR satisfying clip).
4. **Layout Orientation:**

* **Vertical:** The two videos are stacked (one on top, one on bottom).
* **Horizontal:** The two videos are side-by-side.

5. **Split Ratio:** Adjust the slider to set how much percentage of the screen width/height the first video occupies.
6. **Volumes:** Separately balance the volume of the first and second video tracks.
7. **Trim:** Set the start trim offset (in seconds) for the second video.

## 🔤 Step 4: Captions & Overlays

Same as the Autopilot module, you can:

* Enable stylized, highlighted subtitles.
* Import or export `.srt` caption files.
* Overlay watermarks, greenscreen chroma-key effects, and moving text/images.
