The Livestream tab is a multi-stream live broadcasting manager. It allows you to loop pre-recorded video files and broadcast them to up to 5 platforms simultaneously (using RTMP stream keys) without needing external encoder software like OBS.

πŸ“‘ Configuring Stream Slots

You can manage up to 5 independent stream setups. For each stream slot, configure the following:

1. Platform & RTMP Settings

  • Platform: Select from YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, TikTok, or Custom RTMP.
  • RTMP URL: The target ingest server URL (automatically populated for standard platforms).
  • Stream Key: Paste your private stream key obtained from your platform creator dashboard.
  • YouTube OAuth Channel: (YouTube only) Link your authenticated YouTube account to fetch metadata, schedule events, and start streams directly.

2. Video Source

  • Upload Video(s): Select one or multiple video files to stream.
  • Or enter URL(s): Provide direct URLs to hosted video streams or files (one per line).
  • Shuffle order: Shuffle the playing sequence of the loaded videos.

3. Loop Mode

  • Once: Play the playlist once and stop the stream.
  • Repeat forever: Keep looping the videos infinitely (ideal for 24/7 streams).
  • Repeat N times: Stop the broadcast after looping the playlist exactly N times.

4. Encoding Parameters

Optimize stream health to prevent lag or buffering:
  • Resolution: Set to Source (keep original) or downscale (1920x1080, 1280x720) to save bandwidth.
  • FPS: Keep original or lock to 24, 30, or 60 FPS.
  • Video Bitrate: Configure transmission speeds (choices include 3000k, 4500k, 6000k).
  • Encoder Preset: Adjust encoding CPU priority (choices include ultra-fast, very-fast, medium).

πŸ• Scheduling Broadcasts

You can launch a livestream instantly or schedule it to start automatically in the future:
  • Quick start: Select start in 5, 10, or 30 minutes from the quick dropdown.
  • Custom delay: Input a specific number of minutes to delay the start.
  • Exact Time: Use the calendar date-time picker to set an exact start timestamp.
Click Schedule to place the task into the background queue. It will update to πŸ• Scheduled status and automatically trigger when the target time is reached.

🎨 Real-Time Graphic Overlays

A unique feature of the nQivi Livestream engine is the ability to apply or change graphic overlays while the stream is live.

✏️ Text Overlay

Chose a font, enter your text, set size/color, and adjust its position.
  • Opacity: Make text transparent.
  • Moving text: Toggle moving text, set pixel speed, direction, and loop.

πŸ–ΌοΈ Media Overlay

Overlay an image, logo, or watermark (e.g. transparent PNG) on top of the live video.
  • Adjust scale (percentage of screen), opacity, rotation angle, and moving animation paths.
Click Apply Overlay to inject the graphics dynamically into the live output.

🚦 Stream Control Center

Use the global controls at the top of the tab:
  • Add Stream: Expand a new stream configuration slot.
  • Start All / Stop All: Start or stop all configured streams in one click.
  • Status Badge: Monitor status colors (βšͺ Idle, πŸ• Scheduled, 🟑 Starting, πŸ”΄ LIVE, ⏸️ Paused, ⬛ Stopped, ❌ Error).
  • Refresh Status: Force update stream health stats (otherwise updates automatically every 10 seconds).
